About Me

I am a Treasure Valley Motherhood and Family Photographer. I met my husband in 2016 while attending school at BYU-Idaho and we were married in the LDS Portland Oregon temple 6 months later. Quick I know but as religious people, we prayed about it and knew we were meant to be. He is currently wrapping up his first year of Medical School. We currently have three beautiful kids, Carly, Stanley, and Baby Walter.

My photography specialty includes maternity, birth, newborns, all things motherhood, and families. One of my favorite things at your session is witnessing those special bonds you have with your loved ones.

I fell in love with photography back in grade school when I got my first disposable film camera for a field trip. Have I aged myself at all? I begged and begged my parents for a digital camera until I got my first little point and shoot camera for Christmas. I was over the moon happy that it was digital and I could zoom the lens with the push of a button. After getting married I purchased my Father-in-Law's like new DSLR camera. I jumped in with both feet and that's when Kait Photography began! Down the road as I've invested in education and ultimately rebranded, my business name changed to Kaitlyn J Photography.

When I'm not behind my camera you can find me at home with my kids, cooking, or binging a tv show. I love traveling, camping, hiking, campfires, all things organizing, and a good Dad joke.
